ABOUT OUTSTANDING ATLANTA Outstanding Atlanta is the oldest 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to recognizing the service, leadership, and achievements of Atlanta young professionals, thereby encouraging a collective spirit of community service and civic engagement. We are the premier recognition for the most outstanding young professional Atlantans.
Since the organization’s inception in 1968, a select group of Atlantans between the ages of 21 and 36 who live and work in the metropolitan Atlanta area and have distinguished themselves in their careers and community outreach has been selected as members of OA. Alums of OA include Mayor Keisha Lance-Bottoms, anchorwoman Monica Kauffman, Kate’s Club Founder Kate Atwood, former Georgia House of Representatives Minority Leader Stacey Abrams, former Fulton County Superior Court judge and Atlanta city council president Marvin Arrington Sr., former U.S. Senator Paul Coverdell, and Atlanta Community Food Bank founder Bill Bolling.
